PROSTHETICS
What Are the Types of Prosthetics?
Constant Prosthetics: The crown-bridge mixture prostheses fixed to the jaw and tissue, which the patient cannot remove by themselves, are called fixed prostheses. Constant Prosthetics are prepared by the combination of porcelain teeth with metal infrastructure or without metal infrastructure. Coatings used in single tooth losses are constant prostheses.
Movable Prosthetics: Movable prosthetics are the types of prosthetics that are applied with the support of the remaining teeth and gums and are generally preferred when a constant prosthesis is not suitable. They can be easily removed and worn by the patient. In cases where the teeth are partially lost, a hooked prosthesis or precision prosthesis is applied. Due to the hook and holder, the prosthesis which is placed in the existing teeth is called partial prosthetics.
